Thank you very much for sharing your insights, Selene. That is very interesting to me. I will try it out. Just subscribed to support your work. Let's grow together.
Such a helpful reminder that we can direct our minds and the environment we create for ourselves will shapes how our mind responds. One thing I share with students when I teach about mental health is that we can only hold one thought at a time and if we are thinking something unhelpful, we can focus on replacing it with a helpful thought. This is hard but practice makes it easier.
Thank you very much for sharing your insights on this, Simi. It's very interesting to learn that we can only hold one thought at a time. That's so true. Let's keep practicing it together :)
Great piece. - I know I used to allow those random thoughts to have my full attention. That if they came up then I needed to pay attention to them. The thing is when you give them more attention they grow. But when you do as you say, let them blow by like clouds, you find that they lose their power over you.
Thank you for the insightful ideas, learning to sitback and relax, then observe, is a skill for everyone to learn.
Thank you for sharing your insights here too, Harmony.
I would advise 2 more helpful techniques:
Yoga nidra as a perfect tool for being present in your body.
Simply asking yourself: What my next tought is going to be?
Thank you for your tips, Sikieng.

This is such an important subject. I struggle a lot with distractions, and make a conscious effort of being mindful.

Thank you for sharing this. My mind used to run in that hamster cage more, but now I have tools to bring it back to the present moment.
